About 4 Temperaments

So you acquiescence to systemic methods in which to discern your "personality type." You wonder what basis this system sought to demonstrate, by showing the value of these types? So why not look? Which temperament do you belong too?

Idealist Portrait of the Counselor (INFJ)

Counselors have an exceptionally strong desire to contribute to the welfare of others, and find great personal fulfillment interacting with people, nurturing their personal development, guiding them to realize their human potential. Although they are happy working at jobs (such as writing) that require solitude and close attention, Counselors do quite well with individuals or groups of people, provided that the personal interactions are not superficial, and that they find some quiet, private time every now and then to recharge their batteries. Counselors are both kind and positive in their handling of others; they are great listeners and seem naturally interested in helping people with their personal problems. Not usually visible leaders, Counselors prefer to work intensely with those close to them, especially on a one-to-one basis, quietly exerting their influence behind the scenes.

ounselors are scarce, little more than one percent of the population, and can be hard to get to know, since they tend not to share their innermost thoughts or their powerful emotional reactions except with their loved ones. They are highly private people, with an unusually rich, complicated inner life. Friends or colleagues who have known them for years may find sides emerging which come as a surprise. Not that Counselors are flighty or scattered; they value their integrity a great deal, but they have mysterious, intricately woven personalities which sometimes puzzle even them.

Counselors tend to work effectively in organizations. They value staff harmony and make every effort to help an organization run smoothly and pleasantly. They understand and use human systems creatively, and are good at consulting and cooperating with others. As employees or employers, Counselors are concerned with people's feelings and are able to act as a barometer of the feelings within the organization.

Blessed with vivid imaginations, Counselors are often seen as the most poetical of all the types, and in fact they use a lot of poetic imagery in their everyday language. Their great talent for language-both written and spoken-is usually directed toward communicating with people in a personalized way. Counselors are highly intuitive and can recognize another's emotions or intentions - good or evil - even before that person is aware of them. Counselors themselves can seldom tell how they came to read others' feelings so keenly. This extreme sensitivity to others could very well be the basis of the Counselor's remarkable ability to experience a whole array of psychic phenomena.

When you "discover a symbol" as indicated in the wholeness definition presented below, you get to understand how far back we can go in our discoveries. While I talk of Mandalas, I do for a reason. While I talk of the inherent nature of "this pattern" at the very essence of one's being, this then lead me to consider the mathematical relations and geometries that become descriptive of what we may find in nature with regards to the geometric inclinations to a beginning to our universe? How nice?

Wholeness. A state in which consciousness and the unconscious work together in harmony. (See also self.)

Although "wholeness" seems at first sight to be nothing but an abstract idea (like anima and animus), it is nevertheless empirical in so far as it is anticipated by the psyche in the form of spontaneous or autonomous symbols. These are the quaternity or mandala symbols, which occur not only in the dreams of modern people who have never heard of them, but are widely disseminated in the historical records of many peoples and many epochs. Their significance as symbols of unity and totality is amply confirmed by history as well as by empirical psychology.[The Self," ibid., par. 59.]

The Myers-Briggs factors make great Clifford algebra basis vectors, Tony Smith actually mentions that at his website. You can see the mandalas of the Enneagram, Wheel of Life, and Tree of Life using these basis vectors. You can build a Jung/Enneagram version of an E8 model.

  2. Hi JohnG,

I went looking for your contributions. While looking, the perspective I found inherent in yours and others actions, I am sharing, is the relationships geometrically arising from the every day thinking. As I percieve them.

Such observations and relations as you are pointing out are typical for me of what one can observe through their own journey's.

The explorations of this tendency within oneself. Observing patterns working in our everyday life.

IN the "description of wholeness" I found Jung's meanings and descriptions an essential feature of "the wanting for every soul." Scientists in their explorations. A working toward this "resolution within the self." I pointed out the historical(Medicine Wheel) because this is what I found expressly resonating in the deepest part of my own soul.

Now you must know that I did the journaling as well when having read of Jung's work toward this end.Not just of my everyday life but of my My Dreams as well. It was thusly I was able to discern aspects of my character as I proceeded to journal.

A Writing style arose out of this natural expressive context. The writing would speak to the physical, the emotive, and the intellectual, and would thusly culminate in a spiritual totality.

I found that such probabilistic actions may be held in context of one's character and their expressions, similar in my thinking, about what can lie at the basis of this characterization.

I found relations to how one may "assign mountains or valleys, air or wind to the essence of our interactions in nature. Exemplified in the character of being. Above trigram and below, culminating in a choice. While held to six, seven in totality was the distillation of the above and the below in self.

While we can be ruled by the lower part of our humanity, the higher intellectual and emotive centres would recognize that their was also a higher emotive realization of such evolutionary discourse while working in the lower centres.

This is the I Ching connection and the basis of the hexagrams and trigrams as I found them through my own study.

The lines were associated in my mind to elements within the body in terms of the centres and their associative endocrinology's definitions.

It was by applying this pattern that I was able to assign the trigrams "to points on the circle."

Pascal's triangle was about what outcome was, quite similar to Bell's graph, as to the basis of one's choice as to the mathematical descriptions given to emergence, as to what is born in the world at large.

The circle as has been defined by Myer-Briggs model is one pattern given to the explanation of the "4 independent natures" as written. This is "one description" of the circle.

The other description that seemed to arise without out having recognized early such contribution to the geometrical definitions, was how I constructed the pyramid as a symbol of our relationships to the world.

It was all of these things that helped me in my discernibility with regards to the mathematics at the basis of the world in which we live. If these arise as of natural consequence, then where did they come from? Jung answered that in his description of wholeness and the issue of the mandala.

Such natural expressions are to me like the kaleidescope(E8). Of course mathematicians would not be happy with this metaphysical interpretation. Shall I deny it when recognize in my own self?

While their are meanings to such expressions these contain to me the energy of each soul's expressions, as it opens like a flower into our awareness of life. That it can "contain many things" for the coming life. It is a seed opening into materiality.

  3. Is the emotive work ever over? Not for me:)

The context of "my work" as I see it, is contained in emotive realizations about where I can ascend too. I now know there is a possibility for us toward this connection.

While we recognize the physiological distinctions of the evolution of our brains, I think that bringing the lower centres in line with the higher, has to be realized. Has to be realized in, my own work. The evolution of our brains will eventually attest to this in our development?

This has been my work. To accomplish this ascension. I "knew a time" where such alignment had taken place. It was that "historical perspective," in regards to the issues of wholeness.

While bringing into an alignment, I must say that there was a distinction that allowed this "seed of expression" to make itself known within context of this life. That I could know there exists so many "other patterns" in a book?:)

Some might have found such an expression "in the very pain" that such a life could amounted too, in all it's expressions, that such a distinction would be seen and expressed as this pattern. I am just describing different ways that such a pattern can be seen in the immediate. "Knowledge encapsulation" is another in model development and is "easily transferable" from one life to the next. While not fully aware, such continued work to understand, allows this expression to be made known again in this life. We have to work it.

Some would think this information is the disintegration of what is aspired too, in science. It is the recognizing to me of what the nature of this world has in store for us.

We bring this information with us from less material distinctions.

How would you define this nature of the world if you did not recognize the materiality with which we are directed, while holding to the understanding that such a thing come can from a less material defined world?

I do not usually express these things, so I thought you might get a better picture of where I am coming from:)Others too.:)It's time.
