Probability of Information Becoming?

What about the second task, achieving cultural change? As any revolutionary can attest, that is a tall order. Let me describe two strategies that have been successful in the past, and that offer a template for future success. The first is a top-down strategy that has been successfully used by the open-access (OA) movement. The goal of the OA movement is to make scientific research freely available online to everyone in the world. It is an inspiring goal, and the OA movement has achieved some amazing successes. Perhaps most notably, in April 2008 the US National Institutes of Health (NIH) mandated that every paper written with the support of their grants must eventually be made open access. While this picture above may seem complex, imagine the information behind it?

If you are going to be secretive or unsure of yourself as a scientist then what happens psychologically to scientists who work in the world so caution? I am not talking about being careful in what you might consider to present but of this stance could do to the mind if it had not wanted to share, but to put prestige ahead of being open to the public. What about it's own perception about failure? Not doing it just right and being perceived as? This is counterproductive to what boldness you might wanted to engender no matter the basis of, that it might seek new ways to bring about change and revolution in our thinking by providing new opportunities for growth.

There is something truly honorable in my eyes about "service to humanity" when such an opportunity is set forth to provide information not just to the public, but of the willingness to provide succession of experimental possibility, by creating the opportunity for insight and experimental testing methods of abstract notion toward working out the "probability of outcome" for new science to emerge?

A mind map is a diagram used to represent words, ideas, tasks or other items linked to and arranged radially around a central key word or idea. It is used to generate, visualize, structure and classify ideas, and as an aid in study, organization, problem solving, decision making, and writing.

It is an image-centered diagram that represents semantic or other connections between portions of information. By presenting these connections in a radial, non-linear graphical manner, it encourages a brainstorming approach to any given organizational task, eliminating the hurdle of initially establishing an intrinsically appropriate or relevant conceptual framework to work within.

A mind map is similar to a semantic network or cognitive map but there are no formal restrictions on the kinds of links used.

The elements are arranged intuitively according to the importance of the concepts and they are organized into groupings, branches, or areas. Think about this for a moment. You have a vast library of information. This imaginary figure of mind moves into it and along with it, the possibilities of many pathways merging neurologically together. It can only do this of course once the framework had already been establish in mind( a soul in choosing to accept this responsibility), that a position is adopted. It is like fishing. You drop this bait/line into a vast reservoir for some knowledge (soul food) to emerge, as the next step in your own evolution. A becoming, as in the emergence of thought forming apparatus,exposed too, that which was not previously viewed before, yet, had always existed here in that possibility.

This type of growth is unprecedented in this way by supplying information toward such service for humanity, is, as if for every life on earth there is this opportunity for it to succeed in what it had chosen to come forward with in mind. To learn this time around. Only by "increasing the probability of outcome" can one achieve in my mind the possibility of any new science to emerge. Successful attempts toward growth and meaning to accomplish, what any soul had set out to do.

A concept map is a diagram showing the relationships among concepts. They are graphical tools for organizing and representing knowledge.

Concepts, usually represented as boxes or circles, are connected with labeled arrows in a downward-branching hierarchical structure. The relationship between concepts can be articulated in linking phrases such as "gives rise to", "results in", "is required by," or "contributes to". [1]

The technique for visualizing these relationships among different concepts is called "Concept mapping".

Second Life

Creating secure places for meetings and creating the individuals for this interaction while retaining anonymity is part of the idea behind discussing strategy while not revealing who these individuals are in this exercise.

Some say, why not do this with legit names, and to some, see this as a cowardice for not standing up to what is being said. Well that's not the issue here and creating the purpose for advancement of "free thinking" is to allow one to speak freely and assign a character to the individual for the expression of that medium.

It is allowing a freedom to speak regardless of the restraints a public name can bring to one's public life. See, how I don't care how important your name is, and I see you as an individual first, who has an opinion, so I would want you to share that regardless of the public stature with which you operate in public life.

Information on Web Science and New Publishing Software

I was doing some reading at Backreaction: Web Science to see what was of interest. I too have linked the Scientific Magazine articles at different times. I found that in the beginning, it is a nice thing to see the whole context of the article, and then find, that in the future you'll come to a page that asks you to pay to read the rest of it. Eventually, you will have to pay for it. Strategies on information dissemination, and a eventual payback, is of course represented here. So should I even of thinking linking Scientific America in the future?

The issues of Web Science is an important one. One I advocate in terms of developing the tools one needs to spread ideas and platforms for consideration. Is it an affective idea to be considered a disease that is being spread? Well, there are all kinds of techniques for one to consider. Whether one might want to consider any future work here in terms of bloggery development. In that regard whether the development of this Web Science might intrude on my creativity.

How "really free" are we then to develop? People exist in the world and there are no rules that allow one to exist. It is by natures design that we are born, and then eventually die. How is it one shall determine whether my life here shall be dictated by the "manufactured rules of life" when you think this Web Science is a very natural development?

Developing Linkage

I thought I would try using this feature within Scientific America to see what use it might have for me, as I display "new posts" here on this bloggery. Perhaps, this is where future reference for the articles in question in regards to Scientific American will be used.

Right away, moving beyond the article itself on Web Science, I felt a certain restrictiveness in terms of the how the software will ask you to pull from your resources. According to a format( google ads intrude by no choice of your own advertising) which I have no idea, is now exposed as a formatted page for presentation. There is an intrusiveness that makes me feel uncomfortable, when using this software in this context. As well, becoming a advertiser for Scientific America, that charges a price eventually. To be a article for consideration about the future development, are not ones I would advocate to charge for, while we are developing this future. For that matter, anything that helps one to understand and progress with their personal development.

As I think about this method, more of what difference is it that I pull pictures that I save to my own files, that I had come upon throughout the internet and upload these using the picture feature in the bloggery tools. So this is much the same principle as based on this Issuu use. Referencing these pictures and locating them by direct link is a good point though and is designed into blog developement choices to include in our blog posts.

Imagine going out into the world around us and having to pay nature for it's it's wonderful images that nature itself bestows upon us. If this system is so natural in it's biological outcome, what design and coloured page would you choose to reflect the background of historical importance of any blog, whose individuality, is being freely expressed?

Background Colour of Blogs

To me I like to work with the HTML and develop the page openly and freely, given a set of tools, like those available on bloggery, to help toward an end. To allow me to see the resulting page as I develop it. Using Issuu, it did allow me choose a background colour for Scientific America which I adapted to my blog background numbers. So this was nice. It does allow other features in terms of that background, on how might one see the article and page of Scientific America.

I have to play around with it some more to see if it is of use for me. I'll let you know more then. But until then, you can experiment yourself.

Picasa Web Albums With a Message

I wanted to draw attention to a feature that has been added to my blogger site.

If you look over to the right hand side of this blog you will notice a picture slide show that is rotating. I find like the people of blogger initiatives, this one to be worthy of an addition to your site.

One of the things that I found useful is the reorganization feature that one can choose if they want the pictures to appear in an order. One might like to express a point of view? This is still a work in process for me. I have arranged a portion of the beginning, while the rest are random. So organization is taking time. There is redundancy in terms of repeatable pictures. This has been made useful, to drive a point home.

Using blank pictures to create a division, and a introduction to a new round of pictures. Further experimentation on this development will be post as I work through it and find ways to increase flexibility in this medium choice.

I have done this to reinforce some of the perspective that I share here, as well as, point to connections of relevance I found necessary, when thinking in terms of Einstein's world of gravity in General Relativity. As well, our vision of earth as we go through this "evolution of our senses" in regards to the non-euclidean views.

I have reposted some of the directions from "Google Help
Picasa" for others so that they can get an idea of what can be done with this new medium of expression. Some might like the randomness indeed as a collage of experience, while others, might have a message to share.

Using Picasa Web Albums you can create a Flash slideshow to embed in your blog or webpage. Each slideshow features built-in playback controls, size options, and the ability to display captions.

To create and embed a slideshow:

1. Sign in to your Google Account for Picasa Web Albums at http://picasaweb.google.com using your Google Account username and password.
2. Click the My Photos link and select the album you'd like to make a slideshow.
3. Click the Embed Slideshow link. This creates a Flash slideshow from the album you've selected. When you update this album, your slideshow is automatically updated to show the latest photos.

Back to Normal?

Hardly.

It's been some months since I had been using my own computer. Building our new home, we had to make some adjustments. One of these being, not having our computer setup.



We are quite pleased with the work that has been done doing the construction with my son and myself. Least I forget, the hands of the mother here, in keeping us going with the buying and deliveries of materials to do this job. So defintiely, it is a concerted effort, that I should mention how hard my wife has worked as well, to help us reach our goals here.

Back to Blogging

Well, trying for the last couple of days, one can hardly say it has been easy to get to this point. In some ways, it's as if the neuron's firing, had taken a leave of the thinking process, and has become somewhat stale. You know that saying "that if you do not use it you loose it?"

This has always been part of my thinking, that if you do not keep these pathways functioning, like a person who has had a stroke, the need arises that one refamiliarizes themself, with getting the extremities working. Raising an arm, to get the pathway in the brain to work again.

Do I discount the memories that reside in a deeper placed beyond the neuron's firing? Of course not.

The "same system" that fires, is part of the memory packet exists and it survives? It's not just in the camera, but also recorded just outside ourselves? While smell is an instant reminder, I would say too, the "emotive force with which we live our lives," leaves a lasting impression in that other place too.

Do you only see a wire when a current runs through it? You know better. There is a geoemtry to it as well.

Going over the Research Material

Of course doing such work to keep these neuronical processes working, is also part of working in science? The connections to equations, like math, could have such an elegant feature to simplicity in nature yet it is the "one inch equation." One would had to wonder about the distilliation process of all this work in science that is going on.

What can it be reduced too, that "this thread" that seems to be running through it all, would explode within the thinking mind, that one could say "one day that we will actually get it?

Censorship

I am to well aware of, to know the consequences of this myself. With any blog development there is an aspect and power given to any developer, that they may see the background of all those who contribute, beyond, what is written in any post.

I will admit, that the only time that I have used this ability is to change the name of a person that I thought should have been representing them self as a person then using the "Babe in the Universe" name.

As a older gentlemen with a wife of many years I did not want to advocate the thought that this site would be anything more then sharing the ideas people may of had. I would rather hold to a modicum of decency in this regard and responsibility to the generation I see pervading the science front in relationships. Encourage, respectfulness toward marriage or partners and the "sanctity of those relationships."

I will be adding further thoughts on this subject. About those who practise it, and those who have found grief with the alteration of words to purport the views of any moderator in face of what was presented.

Sure, let it be known that the blog developer has a say in what is and shall be, but if I were to take this position and alter any word other then what you posted in discussion post, what would I be guilty of? If I were to supplant my words and assign any name I choose, what would I be guilt of? If my name was not the "real one" could you have your way with me?

Since moderators can know more then what the average person can know, and our names assigned a IP address, then is this signature valid as to the posted wording and ownership?

If for one moment you thought any person "less then the desired" and your respect for them as a moderator worth changing their wording to support your views, what would you be guilty of? If you had thought "an age older then" should warrant the disrepect one would assign to their own mother, what would you be guilty of? How would you want to be treated? No less then how you would treat someone else?

Are we "FREE" to Express?

While I have enjoyed the blogging experience of Blogger.com, and the integration of development that had been going on, the questions remain, as to where this information is deposited and how the moderation of "such a tool" is enforced?

Like many important concepts, Web 2.0 doesn't have a hard boundary, but rather, a gravitational core. You can visualize Web 2.0 as a set of principles and practices that tie together a veritable solar system of sites that demonstrate some or all of those principles, at a varying distance from that core.

I have a certain ideology about trying to bring together as much information as possible, by asking, if image linking, and phrase connections, do not involve copyright infringements, and allow the versatility of blogging experience, while respecting the owners of images and wording, while connected directly to their source.

Linux is subversive. Who would have thought even five years ago (1991) that a world-class operating system could coalesce as if by magic out of part-time hacking by several thousand developers scattered all over the planet, connected only by the tenuous strands of the Internet?

Certainly not I. By the time Linux swam onto my radar screen in early 1993, I had already been involved in Unix and open-source development for ten years. I was one of the first GNU contributors in the mid-1980s. I had released a good deal of open-source software onto the net, developing or co-developing several programs (nethack, Emacs's VC and GUD modes, xlife, and others) that are still in wide use today. I thought I knew how it was done.

Linux overturned much of what I thought I knew. I had been preaching the Unix gospel of small tools, rapid prototyping and evolutionary programming for years. But I also believed there was a certain critical complexity above which a more centralized, a priori approach was required. I believed that the most important software (operating systems and really large tools like the Emacs programming editor) needed to be built like cathedrals, carefully crafted by individual wizards or small bands of mages working in splendid isolation, with no beta to be released before its time.

This has been on my mind as I brought together many aspects of the information that is out there. From the respectable information posted by scientists and their personal experiences, to those shared by all, through such blogging experiences. So what was the battle brewing about from those early days and the struggle to develope communities, sharing information, and who are these people today?

AOL=Netscape? Microsoft? Google? Yahoo?

How would such blogging experiences allow the movement forward of society, and the thinking brain, this internet has become?

Are there concerns, that the human being once exposed to the vastness of this information, could bring it together in such a way, as to insight the "new idea" that would forward research and developement? Encourage our minds to percieve in other ways that we are not accustom? I gave an example at the very beginning of this post in regards to the Riemann Hypothesis.

If we are looking for the new "idea" where shall it arise from then? It is apparent that the early thinking in cosmology has been changed(to include strings ina time sequence of events evn thoguh they be micro seconds) and so too, the values of measure in "time," recognized as problematic, in terms of it's discrete value, when it is very well understood that continuity of expression can be very smooth(yet is it?)?

The count of Primes begins in Chaos. If we were to think of the Riemann Hypothesis assigned to a scale as an approximation to the prime distribution function, then how woud any pattern suffice to be an "emergent property" of that chaos?

How developmental perspective is created and endures, for those of us who are not to well informed as to the nature of specific information on the internet. How can it grow? How can we stay better informed?

In computer science the kernel is the core of an operating system. It is a piece of software responsible for providing secure access to the machine's hardware and to various processes (computer programs in a state of execution).

It' like looking for a needle in the haystack? So part of the knowledge gain is to understand the history and developement of what is currently embedded within our everyday world, that we might know that the very blog information center might have been based on one held by Microsoft technology or one held as another form, in the Open Space. Google's Bloggery, or WordPress?

One might never had known the history about what you had taken for granted? But since these counter opportunities can push one another, as we might push people to explain themself, or refute other people's science, such a trend has competitiveness arising, to bring out the best of both worlds? Not to reinforce the stagnacy of progressiveness, that I might see in the software developing attitude of the internet, as well, as being lead by science. Any domnination over the markey place reduces the viability of expression and probabilties inherent in recognition of the source.

If you look hard enough on the internet you will find it? What do I mean by the kernel. Those who are computer savy might know? Well I'll try and explain as best as I can to show the divergence in thinking, that the control of the internet might fall under.

Two things come to mind when I think about the internet, and one of these has to do with structuralism defined in software usage. The way in which the kernel can be passsed on, even admidst the "faultering of good blogs" held in light of what the good scientists might see in such a developement.

The second thing was draw attention too, is the "creativity factor" that would operate in the realm of such structures? That the limit placed on access to the kernel of truth might have, if access was limited or censored, as to the choice of Click/space, where a better mind would see and know not to engage. "Knowledge gained" would discrimminate as to where these factors would not be in agreement with the current idea of those things lead by science.

Any counter to ths idea, would then be based on what is currently known according to the idea of those of us lead by science, not some speculation as to the ultimate theory you might have, but a question of what nature might have implied, maybe?

Now before I go on I want to tell you another story that may trigger some understanding as to why I might be reisstant to structuralism fallen into the hands of those who would cohort society into the way that they would want sociey to believe. Control it the way they want them to see.

Nelson Bunker Hunt

The son of Texas oil billionare H. L. Hunt, who was believed to be the richest man in the world at the time of his death, Nelson Bunker Hunt also entered the oil business. I think one does not realize how insignficant this idea of "trackback is" that I would say that those with the better minds would enlisted a comprehensive view directly related, and only those with the knowledge will be able to refute. Thus it never changes the kernel of truth, once you had recognized "it's source."

Looking to find the "motivations" in developers is sometimes like this, that we soon learn to see through the "Blog presentation" before us. That we can see through the information, through the personality, to see what science is being offered. If I was to compare Lubos Motl's site in relation to Peter Woit's site, what information currently in science is being extended and lead by science?

Because it held string/M/D Brane theory related information does not make it less palatable to reason. Only that such a string attached, makes the issues of science more or less tangilble is one wondering?

To me it pushes the envelope of progression and developement. What basis of it's theoretical constructive nature is understandable in the comments of Robert Laughlin about this structuralism. An implied correlation to soft ware developement maybe? I would like to thnk the source can contain many probabilites when whe such a source is reference.

So there is still the understanding of the Kernel of Truth, in perspective here that such attempts to control the internet, would have any position adopt software developement, to control, and say that such legal action taken, would be, to say that this software would not be the ultimate structure on all computers, but that other options might be implored too.

The problem there is that the 'capitalist trench' problem is just as real in OpenSource as it is in commerical product: once a group buys into a specific solution, the cost of changing grows with time. That's true even if the software is 'free' because the maintenance costs and time to convert to another solution are not

Is there not some poorman's truth to what is cost driven, that he might want to know that the possibilties and probabilites in an opensource, allow him to move, without being curtailed to the way those who gain control would allow you to think, and be creative on the internet.
