The Circle: Paradox and Paradigm

Abstract

The ultimate desire of mankind is to identify wholeness, to grasp the essence of being, to be integrated with the harmony, perfection, patterns, and cycles of the material, metaphorical and metaphysical worlds. This desire motivates us to explore the realms of fact and fancy, logic and metaphor, reason and emotion, to capture the whole of being in one part, to see it, hear it, feel it, and enjoy it in everyday life.

The circle is an object of nature, an idealization of pure mathematics, and a symbol or framework we use to understand and describe our world. The circle exists independently of human thought, as ripples in a pond, or the appearance of the sun and moon, or the shape of the iris of an eye. In mathematics, we choose to define a circle as the places at a constant distance from a center, usually in two dimensions. In this article, we look back at world history and the varied uses of the circle: literal and literary, physical and poetical, mathematical, metaphorical and mystical.

The following is a little bit of a fictional story about what happens in the the making of this Tablet, can become significant "for the life" as we have come to venture forward, lists some of the attributes of what exists, and what is written for each and very soul respectively?

So deep, and searching for meaning, the nature of this tablet means that every geometrical written circle becomes the template, for what is to unfold in the future of that persons life, as well as, what the division of this circle represents, the quarterlies, allocates, and in rotation, the birth of this soul, to the accomplishment of the life, to mean on it's completion?

How vague indeed it is for the story teller, that artifacts in the history of our civilization is looked for, that it might have found uncovered in this "ancient place," the history of all souls, as well, the delving into the meaning of every life as it begins it's journey?

From whence, is such a expression sent, to its ray which "manifests in that light" could mean, that the elements in relation "gather around?" So while this element in relation, it is in the configuration space of our being, that "our colours are defined for us" as to the substance and nature of that circle? Inner/outer then, and how strange this world that it reflects all that has been harboured in the individuals nature.

Kaleidoscopic Pattern Metaphorically Used

The largeness of this apolytope looses the distinction of it's lines when it is displayed to largely?Garrett Lisi may have pinpointed aspect of this flower as he points to the petals? I had to look for how he descriptively displayed the pattern of those petals, as he choose to represent this expression as a "modality in perception."

"...underwriting the form languages of ever more domains of mathematics is a set of deep patterns which not only offer access to a kind of ideality that Plato claimed to see the universe as created with in the Timaeus; more than this, the realm of Platonic forms is itself subsumed in this new set of design elements-- and their most general instances are not the regular solids, but crystallographic reflection groups. I left a remark at Clifford's blog in relation to the flower, because it is very symbolic to me about what can emerge within context of our own consciousness. That it could encompass my whole life. I would not present this perspective if I did not realize there was a functioning pattern within myself that I identified through study of my own nature.

BEHOLDING beauty with the eye of the mind, he will be enabled to bring forth, not images of beauty, but realities, for he has hold not of an image but of a reality, and bringing forth and nourishing true virtue to become the friend of God and be immortal, if mortal man may. This pattern becomes reflective of how one can assign one's belief's to the world, and this is how I see this as an aspect in each of us. How this pattern is the reflection of what exists as a very bright light at our centres. This to me is the energy force and momentum that moves our lives to the expressions that we do, while it also reveals the aspect of the life, and the expressions which are shadows of the very reflection of that light.

The kaleidoscopic pattern metaphorically used as an expression of all life for me then? Now, there are other images besides flowers that also occupy my mind I perceive as holding an expressive tendency of the energy expression as a pattern of being.

Now sure I could be pegged as some one who delves on the fringes of what is the shadows of things, and while being perceived as such, is somehow ineligible to be part of this commentary on the energy of expression, as a pattern in one's life? Yet I do not believe that any of us can be said not to have this privilege, because I see it is an integrate part of our persons and our characters.

Yes, you can look at the whole person, and the matters that describe the reality, but it is much more that energy can explode into this reality that exists, and it all came from some centre?

Yes it's true I believe that the tunnel to the light, is a perceived way in which the soul in expression manifests itself into the world we called waking reality. It provides new meaning for, "light at the end of the tunnel" and how far an introspective view shall you take this to mean, we have come to a clearer perception of the reality of the situation in your life? But yes, we sleep and life consolidates too.

It would not to be to far off the mark that the seed and it's growth could mean much more as we reread the quote I give of Plato's, that has become the food for thought about life as an "expression of being." Let's look at again now in context of this post?


"AND we should consider that God gave the sovereign part of the human soul to be the divinity of each one, being that part which, as we say, dwells at the top of the body, inasmuch as we are a plant not of an earthly but of a heavenly growth, raises us from earth to our kindred who are in heaven. And in this we say truly; for the divine power suspended the head and root of us from that place where the generation of the soul first began, and thus made the whole body upright. When a man is always occupied with the cravings of desire and ambition, and is eagerly striving to satisfy them, all his thoughts must be mortal, and, as far as it is possible altogether to become such, he must be mortal every whit, because he has cherished his mortal part. What use any author if he cannot point out the "depth of thought" that one can go into by leaving a "tidbit of information" so that one can be motivated to look at the whole picture and not just, "part of a mystery?" An assumption is made of the person, and from it the world views settles accordingly. Life becomes easy wrapped then to this meaning and we soon learn, where each of us has left "the synergy of the situation they are in," and realized, the counterpart is and will always hold a greater meaning. That we share this aspect of nature we have come to perceive.

Crab apple blossom We planted this in memory of a grandchild called Summer, who passed after being born. It was a way to remember, that life is "spring's eternal." Unfortunately, we had to leave it behind as we moved on, yet, is holds greater meaning now that we remember her, as we look at the blossoms.

If one is intuitive enough they can read deeper into this then they could have before? See beyond their nose?:)

The pathway of expression is an indelible feature then in my mind that it can follow an expression, and what was the origination of this motivation? If it is life as we know it, and it can impel a whole universe, why cannot this energy be impelled by some motivation from within you? All life?

The Primitive Aspects of Being

So I got up and I jumped onto my cardio glider, which is a full-body exercise machine. And I'm jamming away on this thing, and I'm realizing that my hands looked like primitive claws grasping onto the bar. I thought "that's very peculiar" and I looked down at my body and I thought, "whoa, I'm a weird-looking thing." And it was as though my consciousness had shifted away from my normal perception of reality, where I'm the person on the machine having the experience, to some esoteric space where I'm witnessing myself having this experience.Stroke of insight: Jill Bolte Taylor

I think this is part of the discovery of who you are. What makes up the person that has slipped ever so gently into this matter defined state. Who would of thought the elements of entanglement could have meant that energy and matter intertwined could have the oscillatory nature of this person become "who it is" by defining the atmosphere of it's relations with the world.

So technically, if we see the vast resources of so many bodies, what is relevant to our species that we could say there is indeed eternal hope that we will one day return to the very places we all arrived from? What happens to that "I am?"

I may of gone to far here for the minute because what I wanted to focus on was the recognition of those things that are primeval in all of us. Things that from such an elevated state of perspective are recognized. That while the elements of the physical are apparent in Jill Taylor's observations, it was through that "ancient part of our brains" that evolution has redeemed itself by the very evolution of perspective. We have somehow elevated the existence of being apart from the containment?

But in the meantime, there is a "relativity of being" that all things hold us to the ground, while the recognition of those things that are much more ephemeral in nature, can be the elements of emotive states of recognition that bind us firmly to our abodes.

The Triangle



So very basic in it's shape it can symbolize many things to many different people. The basic factor here is that we choose this design to exemplify a systemic approach to what our minds can relate in viewing reality.

While thinking about the ephemeral quality of the emotive states, and fully understanding this anatomical relation, I thought of these emotive elevations/descents and such. It was more the work for me to realize that the quality of perspective could be ruled by such "emotive states of recognition" whether you can identify these on your own or not. They were experientially defined in our relation and anatomically ruled by our minds, whether we could separate from them or not, was never the "not accepting ownership" that I would have implied through recognition, but the realization that we are all imbued with the elements of this "facet of being."

So we have Jill's perspective of her hand holding onto her cardio glider? Such observation qualities of mind and viewing from such a space, is the work of assigning responsibility to what we have become entangled in, in our acceptance who heartily of becoming the bodies in which we live.


The Square


Study of structure formation in the Universe is an area of forefront research in astrophysics. The early evolution, when the seed fluctuations are small, can be calculated analitycally on a piece of paper without the help of large supercomputers. As the fluctuations grow in their amplitude, the evolution becomes too complex and theorists have to use computers to follow the subsequent evolution.

Martin Rees begins, and ends his lecture with the understanding of a given space.

If one had thought about the energy valuation of this given space, then what values could be reduced "from the beginning" to define it in these matter defined relations. You had to have a way in which to perceive the given reality at a time before the immersion of these rarefied thought forms that descend into the matter definitions of existence?

The grounding of perspective is the direct relation to how we perceive the elements of our physical bodies, to it's most densest form. While of course we recognize the degrees of the different phases of the elemental states,? It is with such conviction that I saw this relation to what defines the body our home, and what can be the bodies highest aspirations in terms of it's functionality as producing such thoughts.

While Martin Rees defines this ability of the culture as a sliver in the macroscopic relation of where humanity sits now, the final hour, is a transformational attitude about where we are going as a species?

That while all things things can be mapped to their biological nature, did we ever recognize the finer forms of manifestation that are revealed? Whether we accept the emotive states purely as anatomical, or, whether we plainly accept these mental capacities based on the neuronical processes alone?

So that is where I went in my journey was to define this "relativity of mind" in full acceptance of what Einstein may have implied in the "measurement of that time" based on our emotive relations, and acceptance, of this relation in the human experience. I based it on a much finer forms of realization, above the most rarefied matter states that one could think of, to develop a "model of understanding" beyond the limitations we had assigned the physical basis of our relations as a human form.

Ancient Dwellings



It was around 2002 my wife and I took a trip to Phoenix Arizona, and went to Sedona. We took in some of the sites as shown by the pictures of the dwellings once inhabited by different Indian tribes.



While extremely hot at the time we went, it of course brought wonderment to me how anyone could live in heat like that, even though the areas of Sedona are much higher. The very idea that they were set back into the cliffs was a very good idea in terms of temperatures so this was an ingenious way to stay warm and keep cool.



One of the things that we tend to now on our trips is try and takes in ancient places like these, or other sites like the large Medicine wheels at Bighorn that we travelled to a couple of years ago.

There are deeper reasons that we take on these journey's, that at a time in our lives with our children grown we can now take to to this. The cliff dwellings were drawn on a piece of paper many years ago when I awoke from a weird dream. It was as if I was travelling and came into to look at the cliff dwelling. I was wondering when on our journey whether I would see what I saw, before ever being there.

The Medicine Wheel is actually one of those Mind Maps I talked about, that was used by the Native Americans to house a lot of information about nature and the dealings Native Americans had with that Nature.

That particular model I also dreamt of, and had a profound experience that became part of the connection to the deeper understanding I have about the earth from a native perspective. A deeper understanding about how one comes so very close to one touching the very souls energy. This is why liminocentric structures are of such importance to me. Developing such maps are an important aspect of using the mind map to built this connection to what exists and our very centres.



I'll put a picture here from my trip(it is taken from the board located at the site). It's the Bighorn Medicine Wheel located by Sheridan Wyoming. It is about 9642 feet up and on Medicine Mountain. The walk was about a mile and half in and was about a 100 degrees that day.

Mind Maps: Mathematical Structures?


Plato's doctrine of recollection, however, addresses such criticism by saying that souls are born with the concepts of the forms, and just have to be reminded of those concepts from back before birth, when the souls were in close contact with the forms in the Platonic heaven. Plato is thus known as one of the very first rationalists, believing as he did that humans are born with a fund of a priori knowledge, to which they have access through a process of reason or intellection — a process that critics find to be rather mysterious


What are Mind Maps?


A mind map is a diagram used to represent words, ideas, tasks or other items linked to and arranged radially around a central key word or idea. It is used to generate, visualize, structure and classify ideas, and as an aid in study, organization, problem solving, decision making, and writing.

It is an image-centered diagram that represents semantic or other connections between portions of information. By presenting these connections in a radial, non-linear graphical manner, it encourages a brainstorming approach to any given organizational task, eliminating the hurdle of initially establishing an intrinsically appropriate or relevant conceptual framework to work within.

A mind map is similar to a semantic network or cognitive map but there are no formal restrictions on the kinds of links used.

The elements are arranged intuitively according to the importance of the concepts and they are organized into groupings, branches, or areas. The uniform graphic formulation of the semantic structure of information on the method of gathering knowledge, may aid recall of existing memories.


Well straight to the point then I guess.

The important thing about the basis of our societies is not actually its fixed structure but the way to readjust it. A bit of scientific method would be good there.


As I mentioned previously on Backreaction site and in giving subsequent information about this process. It has been a journey of my own discovery, that I would say that at the basis of reality is such a mathematical structure.

I know when this process started for me and it would not serve any purpose at this point to speak to it directly. People have their reasons for and against such a proposal as their being such a mathematical structure, so what currently leads me to say that their are these two opposing views?

Stephen Wolfram argues that the way to unlock the rest of science is to give up on mathematics and look for explanations analogous to computer code. Very simple computer programs can produce remarkably complex behavior that mimics phenomena science has had difficulty modeling, like the motion of fluids, for example. So studying the behavior of these programs may provide scientists with new insights about these phenomena. Indeed, Wolfram thinks the universe itself may be generated by a computer program simple enough to be expressed in a few lines of code. “If the laws are simple enough, if we look in the right way we’ll find them,” he says. “If they’re not, it will be tougher. The history of physics makes one pessimistic that we could ever end physics. I don’t share that pessimism.”


Tegmark believes in an extreme form of Platonism, the idea that mathematical objects exist in a sort of universe of their own. Imagine that, Tegmark says, “there’s this museum in this Platonic math space that has these mathematical objects that exists outside of space and time,” Tegmark says. “What I’m saying is that their existence is exactly the same as a physical existence, and our universe is one of these guys in the museum.”


Also worth reading is the sum of any position that would infer the stance of Plato versus anti-Plato, to help distinguish whether or not one might have something of value in terms of the question of whether Mathematics is invented or discovered.

For the Platonists. One crucial consequence of the Platonic position is that it views mathematics as a project akin to physics, Platonic mathematicians being—as physicists certainly are—describers or possibly predictors—not, of course, of the physical world, but of some other more noetic entity. Mathematics—from the Platonic perspective—aims, among other things, to come up with the most faithful description of that entity.


For the Anti-Platonists. Here there are many pitfalls. A common claim, which is meant to undermine Platonic leanings, is to introduce into the discussion the theme of mathematics as a human, and culturally dependent pursuit and to think that one is actually conversing about the topic at hand.


Mapping the interaction from a scientific point of view?

As I read through the article I had previous insights while reading through Sir Roger Penrose's lecture on the Extended Physical WorldView. While I myself had picked the title, it would have been nicer to show the very image on the start of that lecture.



This is a important statement I am making below because it distinguishes between where we think we might be going in terms of computer technologies versus what will always remain within the human domain.


So on the one hand one might think about technologies in the 21st Century and wonder if computer technology can ever reach the status of Consciousness with which the "synaptic event" could include images, all the while it would include all the history to that point?


While it is never clear to me about the origins of the universe, it had some relation in my mind to what first allowed any soul's expression. While I had shown the relation to the synaptic event, there had to be a place created for such an expression, to be fortunate and validated.

Do I know what plan for every individual is, of course not, but that you choose such an expression is self evident. There is much to the word, "self evident" that remains to be explored within context of this site, and of value, in the iconic image of Raphael's expression with Plato and Aristotle at it's centre.

Now, neuronic networking is supposedly the platform computer technologies can take in their designs, but what true aspect of the emergent process could ever define the human being and one's potential? The information that could enter such an synaptic event within your own thinking mind?

So the process is one of self discovery. About processes within your own self that allow one to possibly develop the new mathematics that speak directly to the very unfolding of the universe?

The Unreasonable Effectiveness of Mathematics in the Natural Sciences by Eugene Wigner

The great mathematician fully, almost ruthlessly, exploits the domain of permissible reasoning and skirts the impermissible. That his recklessness does not lead him into a morass of contradictions is a miracle in itself: certainly it is hard to believe that our reasoning power was brought, by Darwin's process of natural selection, to the perfection which it seems to possess. However, this is not our present subject. The principal point which will have to be recalled later is that the mathematician could formulate only a handful of interesting theorems without defining concepts beyond those contained in the axioms and that the concepts outside those contained in the axioms are defined with a view of permitting ingenious logical operations which appeal to our aesthetic sense both as operations and also in their results of great generality and simplicity.

What can arise from any person, to have defined that it reaches back into the forms. That it chooses to manifest "as the person" you have become? What lies dormant, that you awake to it in such a way that it will manifest in all that you do, and become part of the "history of recollection" that you unfold in this life, and have learnt these things before? You dream?

....signs of new life emerge as images photonically flicker in the new logic forming apparatus....

I had a dream....


We might like to think that computers are capable, while the very idea of the "image" holds such vasts amount of information. This is not a new idea from an historical perspective if one ever thought to consider the alchemists of our early science.

How would you contain all the probability and outcomes, with ever looking beyond space and time, to realize that the "heavens" in some way, meet the earth. Manifest within you? Can find re-birthing through you? Inner/outer become one.

The center and the whole-what it means?

If conceived as a series of ever-wider experiential contexts, nested one within the other like a set of Chinese boxes, consciousness can be thought of as wrapping back around on itself in such a way that the outermost 'context' is indistinguishable from the innermost 'content' - a structure for which we coined the term 'liminocentric'.


Part of the understanding here is that in having "touched that centre," realize that it is the source from which any theory will begin it's emergence into the reality of our modelled and wakeful world.

Now Peter LYnd makes talk of the Black/White hole. It is part of my understanding for such a thought to occur, realizing from a source it could manifest into our daily world, why not that "this creation" impel any thought construct into manifestation as well? The universe the same?


From the Buddhist perspective there are at least two senses that we can give to this phrase 'being with creation' that Von Franz uses in this context. First, according to the Tibetan Buddhist tradition, if we have developed the requisite skill in meditation, at the moment of death we are presented with a unique opportunity to connect with this 'central hole where creation takes place' - that is, with the 'emptiness' or 'plenum' or 'fullness' that is at the center of things. According to the Tibetan Book of the Dead, it manifests at that time as a 'clear light'. If we are capable of realizing what is going on at that moment we also gain control over the creative process in which emptiness manifests in form, and conscious reincarnation becomes possible. But, secondly, we can also take all of this in a less literal, more figurative, PSYCHOLOGICAL sense - as a description of what must take place within the individual in order for her to become a conscious participant in her own inner creative processes, an agent of personal change, and skilled at what is sometimes called 'paradigm shifting'.


I mean how many in science have this standard by which they must work? Have this other side to them and their life? The "questioning and wanting know" of this other mystery to life? What is this mystery I am talking about?

Well to me I have this "indirect way of answering" that reveals this uncertainty, yet, I have this innate sense of "knowing without knowing how I know." That's not really a good answer is it?:) Some will attach themselves to this previous statement. I have seen it before, and I know they will answer accordingly.

I've talked about the centre many times on this site.

I've open up this post with the information that lead me along never really knowing the direction, yet fully confident that in time it would fall into place.

Visual Imaging.

I can't go into a whole lot here other to say that the source of these images are intriguing to say the least.

I am presented with a "paradoxical situation" that is confusing for me, until, I seen this process in action. The "inner/outer" somehow being explained within the confines of our beings. So while I see things happening on the outside, they were first implemented within. I don't feel happy with what I just wrote. Ihave to show you what I mean by way of images that show this paradoxical situation.

Figure 8 [replaced by our Figure 2] is to be conceived three-dimensionally, the circles being cross-sections of spherical shells in the plane of the drawing. A man is climbing about on the huge spherical surface 1; by measurements with rigid rods he recognizes it as a spherical shell, i.e. he finds the geometry of the surface of a sphere. Since the third dimension is at his disposal, he goes to spherical shell 2. Does the second shell lie inside the first one, or does it enclose the first shell? He can answer this question by measuring 2. Assume that he finds 2 to be the smaller surface; he will say that 2 is situated inside of 1. He goes now to 3 and finds that 3 is as large as 1.

How is this possible? Should 3 not be smaller than 2? ...

He goes on to the next shell and finds that 4 is larger than 3, and thus larger than 1. ... 5 he finds to be as large as 3 and 1.

But here he makes a strange observation. He finds that in 5 everything is familiar to him; he even recognizes his own room which was built into shell 1 at a certain point. This correspondence manifests itself in every detail; ... He is quite dumbfounded since he is certain that he is separated from surface 1 by the intervening shells. He must assume that two identical worlds exist, and that every event on surface 1 happens in an identical manner on surface 5. (Reichenbach 1958, 63-64)


It would not be complete without introducing another paradoxical situation that Brian Greene himself presented. But before I do that I wanted to write here something else for consideration. It will speak to the Garrett Lisi's and their idea about imaging that comes deep from within them. How they organize a "whole structure of creation" from within themself. Model it, outside themself. It's more then just a fingerprint.

One harmonious possibility is that string enthusiasts and loop quantum gravity aficionados are actually constructing the same theory, but from vastly different starting points. That each theory involves loops-in string theory, these are string loops; in loop quantum gravity, they're harder to describe non-mathmatically, but, roughly speaking, they're elementary loops of space-suggests there might be a connection. This possibility is further supported by the fact that on a few problems accessible to both, such as blackhole entropy, the two theories agree fully. The Artist In Us All

This post entry under the heading of the "Artist in us All," is a culmination of information that I had transmitted on Bee's discussion board, under the heading of Art and Communication.

The whole jest is a preclude to a much more detailed analysis of Art and Science and the following post to this one, prepares the readers for a understanding that I myself strongly advocate.

But before I move to far ahead of myself, let me take you to the post entries that will prepare one for future considerations.

The Format

A final aspect of beauty that was often cited by readers might be called "deep play". This is the sense that we are actively engaged with something outside ourselves that is responding to us - rather than watching a game of our own construction or watching nature from a detached distance.


The timing of "preparing the format" asks that any given time be considered as the source from which we will move human experiences further along it's path to growth. We can "remove names" and this exercise will be of value to who ever inserts their name or responds accordingly to the questions posted in that same name.

This is the valuation of interplay that is part of our own gathering system. This post then is the template for what is happening within your own self. A "perceived constant" is being examined in relation to your contact with reality? What ever that is for you at this time?

Susskind did exactly this, by envisioning a rubber band? Some may laugh, yet, it is a mathematical insight.

Penroses Influence on Escher

During the later half of the 1950’s, Maurits Cornelius Escher received a letter from Lionel and Roger Penrose. This letter consisted of a report by the father and son team that focused on impossible figures. By this time, Escher had begun exploring impossible worlds. He had recently produced the lithograph Belvedere based on the “rib-cube,” an impossible cuboid named by Escher (Teuber 161). However, the letter by the Penroses, which would later appear in the British Journal of Psychology, enlightened Escher to two new impossible objects; the Penrose triangle and the Penrose stairs. With these figures, Escher went on to create further impossible worlds that break the laws of three-dimensional space, mystify one’s mind, and give a window to the artist heart.


But on the other hand you speak about the longevity of the musician, in place of what artist can do, but I would remind you of Dali's picture "on time" as a masterpiece?

Not least to mention his geometrical views on the hypercube and the crucification?

Number theory is the type of math that describes the swirl in the head of a sunflower and the curve of a chambered nautilus. Bhargava says it's also hidden in the rhythms of classical Indian music, which is both mathematical and improvisational. He sees close links between his two loves -- both create beauty and elegance by weaving together seemingly unconnected ideas.


There is a "inherent beauty in the mathematics" when we think about this music?

Not to mention the relationship of the "Monte Carlo methods" in relation to the cubists.

Bee, you were to soft in your opinion of artists when I am showing you otherwise. :)

Here is another quote you might recognize in relation to a form of mathematics.

It is how Srinivasa Ramanujan received his "inspiration" and the place from which this mathematics emerged, that few people realize is of significance.

From "a chaotic mind" it resolved itself "to the subconscious" that we realize the pattern that is inherent underneath.

Part of the understanding here is our connection to the "universality of the subconscious mind" and it's reservoir of impressions received, as we try to express our perspective of the world. "How deep" is your subconscious mind, that you would not understand the complexity of all "self evident information" makes you who you are? That this interplay that takes place with you and your environment, is an exchange that is taking place not only on a "deductive and inductive Archean constant" that all of us would then be writing the "postulate of experience" here?

It is not about God, but how we dress up the mathematics in our everyday lives. Then, we have to decipher the context of the mathematics other then the "resolved experience-science" we have in moving mathematics forward?

To Srinivasa Ramanujan it was about his dream and how he received his messages, yet, how absurd that such a place as the subconscious we could receive such inspiration?

It is not about "heliocentrism" that we are, "the centre of the universe," but rather, that we are connected to the universe in such a way?

Liminocentric structures?

Finally, we also hope that this series furthers the discussion regarding the nature and function of 'the mandala'. In the spiritual traditions from which Jung borrowed the term, it is not the SYMMETRY of mandalas that is all-important, as Jung later led us to believe. It is their capacity to reveal the asymmetry that resides at the very heart of symmetry. By offering a new view about how consciousness itself is structured - in a fundamentally paradoxical fashion - and how these structurings are reflected in principles according to which the mandala is organized, we are able in this series to show how personality itself may be thought of as having an essentially 'liminocentric' design.


The "source of symmetry" is our perfection with the universal inherent in each of us. Our delving into this large pool is in part the effort of our recordings, that what is gained in experience is mapped on the brain's structure, and beyond that. This interplay has to have consequence? Not just in the development of the brain's structure, but far beyond what we see of the physical body.

From a psychological perspective and I am no expert for sure, but our present state of consciousness has to be supported in one way or another. Animus and Anima, depending on that gender?

An "all wise mother figure" who appears in your dream( your higher self speaking to you), or for those men, who recognize that the higher self is talking to them in a way that they have their "wise white haired person offering insight."

But before I loose you here, I wanted to show you that on first appearance Jean Shinoda Bolen is telling a story. This is the artist aspect of herself, showing the depth of our natures. She is showing it in a way that is helping people identify aspects of themself. Showing underlying causes for such "fantasy development."

Richards Wagners's Ring of Nibelung Jean Shinoda Bolen, M.D. Ring of Power was interesting.

Strange that we could have seen A Jungian Understanding of the Wagner's Ring cycle, portrayed in todays world and how could have this been accomplished. But by re-introducing a fictional story and embuing it with the archetypal structures of what Jean Shinoda Bolen called, "The Abandon Child, The Authoritarian Father, and the Disempowered Feminine."

It's never clear from all appearances, yet there is a deeper understanding of what is culminating in a person's experiential life.

I follow your thoughts on Bohm for I read him a long time ago too, and somehow it seems fitting that art and communication, might have incorporated "language as a developmental phase" to seeing reality, in new ways?

Sort of like being initiated into string theory, to help get past some of the blockages that are stopping science from developing further?

These blockages manifest within the self, and become impediments to our experience and progression to further learning. This is not to say learning stops. It is the "greatest effort" that what has become apparent in the state of self evidential experience, is the potential to great transport human experience beyond the self's own limitations. Provides for, the "intuitive leaps" necessary once the basis of this experience is resolved. How deep this blockages goes, that the subconscious mind will allow images to transport the self to a future place for consideration.

Bee:It might not be an universally applicable source of inspiration?

To Hardy I don't think that mattered one bit. It is just part of the process to understanding how we humans like to fabricate our realities. Yet, there is a universal connection that we have that is a very consistent. One in relation to the artist in us all.

Namagiri, the consort of the lion god Narasimha. Ramanujan believed that he existed to serve as Namagiri´s champion - Hindu Goddess of creativity. In real life Ramanujan told people that Namagiri visited him in his dreams and wrote equations on his tongue.

We are the best predictors of ourselves and our experiential conditions that we put forward. A model perhaps in developmental insight as to what we have to do in science?

So in the psychology......

If any such resolve is not forthcoming in our "supposed awake reality," then there is a culminating effect that someone(archetypal) is speaking to us to help us resolve these disputes. "Our universality" is there in us all. I see no race religion, or gender.

So like Jean above we write our own story, and show the affect our experiential life has on the new conditions if not resolved.

So I apply these things to our current search for understanding the math creation (calculus for Newton)and the derivatives needed to push insight further into "new realms of experience."

Would you denigrate Calculus as a language to helping you discern the nature of reality? Newton knew he had to do something. Einstein realize it when Grossman was developing a new language, as was Reinmann preparing us from his predecessors, on the issue of "non euclidean geometries?" Gauss was very delighted with his student

Understanding that human experience is "cradling the times for breakthroughs to further understanding" is the incubation period necessary for preparing these intuitive leaps and future predictability.

Here 50% or 100% provides for whether the human side of us really understands and knows what is necessary for us to progress. How would the probability of all human experiences to know to draw for one own postulate, "the self evident" and then understand that the leap to growth in experiences requires this and this?

While such is th evastness of the human experience it is not without our understanding that each of us has repercussions of actions to every decision we make. I cannot tell which, only that this probability can be played out time and time again and it will result in the growth of each of us at varying times. There is a constancy that is being talked about here that can be debated, but as far as I can tell this is the postulate that has been written.

I used this quote in "your other thread" for a reason. Images? Think about this for a minute.

If one can "translate" and transfer the image mathematically for each other, then what has happened? A level of communication not understood before?


Arthur Miller

Miller has since moved away from conventional history of science, having become interested in visual imagery through reading the German-language papers of Einstein, Heisenberg and Schrödinger - "people who were concerned with visualization and visualizability". Philosophy was an integral part of the German school system in the early 1900s, Miller explains, and German school pupils were thoroughly trained in the philosophy of Immanuel Kant.

When I referred to Susskind I did so for a reason as well. This is the culmination of what mathematically is derived. Thus, the image is a culmination, yet, it is only a "shadow of the truth."

I used Magritte, When is a Pipe a Pipe painting, to illustrate this.

Hawking shows this in his book as well.

You have to remember Plato's analogy was even used by Gerardus t'Hooft. See here and Heisenberg so you are in good company.

P.A.M. Dirac was a gifted mathematical inventor who saw how quantum mechanics rises from classical mechanics, yet transcends it. Dirac did not know of the Bohr atom when he arrived at Cambridge in 1923; yet he quickly began contributing to the mathematical structure demanded by quantum phenomena, discovering the connection between the Poisson bracket and the commutator of Heisenberg”s matrix representation of observables. Then, with careful attention to its classical antecedent, Dirac found the equation governing the evolution of the matrix elements which had eluded Heisenberg in the operator ihdA/dt = [A,H]. He then went on to discover spinors in describing the relativistic electron and antimatter implied by the quantum in relativistic space-time. Dirac conceived the many-time formulation of relativistic quantum mechanics and laid the foundations of the Feynman path integral thereby opening the way to quantum electrodynamics. Newton synthesized the foundations of classical mechanics. In fitting kinship, Dirac, who did the equivalent for quantum mechanics, filled the chair at Cambridge held by Newton.

Some people are better suited to visualization then others, and this comes out in some mathematicians and in artists as I had shown you of Escher and Dali. I could never judge Dali for his character an his life, but I can say how important he tried to push the envelope. Maybe for all his indulges, he thought if he could think of the cross and his geometrically tendency he might have found some relation?


Of course, to Plato this story was just meant to symbolize mankind's struggle to reach enlightenment and understanding through reasoning and open-mindedness. We are all initially prisoners and the tangible world is our cave. Just as some prisoners may escape out into the sun, so may some people amass knowledge and ascend into the light of true reality.

What is equally interesting is the literal interpretation of Plato's tale: The idea that reality could be represented completely as `shadows' on the walls

Housebuilding



It all start off as "a dream" or "an idea." Where do these come from? Dialogos of Eide


This is the house similar to what we will be constructing, with some modifications of course.

Most know of my time helping my son last year constructing his home. The journey of pictures that I have here within this bloggery. It has also some "dimensional aspect" in it's development, so I thought this might help those who are working Euclidean coordinates, may help to seal this process in some way, by being introduced to house construction.

This is the home that my wife and I had built in 1998. It was built on ten acres of land with a wide sweeping view of the mountains in the background. Although not seen here, you may have seen some of my rainbow pictures that I had put up over the years to help with the scenery we had.

Well the time has come for my wife and I to be entering into the venture ourselves. You will notice that the model we choose above is one floor. We thought this suitable for the coming years as when we move into retirement.

Here is a picture of my daughter-in-law and son's house in the winter of this last year. He still has some work to do, but as per our agreement, I help him, he is helping me.

I think I am getting the better of the deal, as he has taken the time to write me a 17 page step procedure with which I must follow. I thought this will become part of the journey for my wife and myself, so that everyone may see the process unfolding and maybe learn something about home construction. The plans of course change from country to country, while this plan is unfolding in Canada.

We purchased a 2 acre parcel of land with which to build the new home up top. I went into the bush with the camera and with about 2 feet of snow. It was not to easy to get around, so as time progresses,and as I put in the roadway and cleared site, you will get a better idea of what it looks like.



We had to contend with where we will live. We wanted the freedom and space to be close to where we will be building, so we bought a 19' foot travel trailer and will be putting it on the acreage while we build our new home. We thought of "renting" and our son of course offered for a time to let us live with him. We thought all around with the new baby Maley, we would leave them have their space as well.

See No Royal Road to Geometry?

I would like people to take note of the image supplied on the website of Euclides.Org, as it is one that I have used showing Plato and Aristotle. The larger picture of course is one done by Raphael and is painted on the wall in the "Signatores room in the Vatican."

The Room of the Segnatura contains Raphael's most famous frescoes. Besides being the first work executed by the great artist in the Vatican they mark the beginning of the high Renaissance. The room takes its name from the highest court of the Holy See, the "Segnatura Gratiae et Iustitiae", which was presided over by the pontiff and used to meet in this room around the middle of the 16th century. Originally the room was used by Julius II (pontiff from 1503 to 1513) as a library and private office. The iconographic programme of the frescoes, which were painted between 1508 and 1511, is related to this function. See Raphael Rooms

While one may of talked abut the past, or use a name like Plato of the past does not mean that what is being supplied from that position is not dealing with information for the 21st century. I would like you to think that while speaking about models that what the house is doing in "a psychological sense" is giving you a method by which all that you do in your life will materialize in consciousness and digs deep into the unconscious.

How often had you seen yourself in dream time, doing something or other, in the living room, kitchen, or anything that deals with the current state of mind, that you of course will see in this house? They are the many rooms of the mind.

All those who have written histories bring to this point their account of the development of this science. Not long after these men came Euclid, who brought together the Elements, systematizing many of the theorems of Eudoxus, perfecting many of those of Theatetus, and putting in irrefutable demonstrable form propositions that had been rather loosely established by his predecessors. He lived in the time of Ptolemy the First, for Archimedes, who lived after the time of the first Ptolemy, mentions Euclid. It is also reported that Ptolemy once asked Euclid if there was not a shorter road to geometry that through the Elements, and Euclid replied that there was no royal road to geometry. He was therefore later than Plato's group but earlier than Eratosthenes and Archimedes, for these two men were contemporaries, as Eratosthenes somewhere says. Euclid belonged to the persuasion of Plato and was at home in this philosophy; and this is why he thought the goal of the Elements as a whole to be the construction of the so-called Platonic figures. See also Laying the Foundation with Respect While one indeed had to start somewhere I thought I would start here with, "Foundational Perspectives."

I choose this as an introduction, whilst I will be starting from the ground up. This will include the planning of road way and building site. Since I have this interest about physics and where science is going these days, how could I not incorporate these things into what I am doing currently with my life now? So while I speak about the science end, I am encapsulating "this process" with regard to how I will construct my home.

Is this possible?

Well having spoken of the "Euclidean reference" one would have to know how one departs form such a scheme of Euclid, to know that this graduation to Non-Euclidean geometries was somehow related to the "fifth postulate" written by Euclid.

So of course, we had those who were involved in this development historically, which serve to remind us about where someone like Dali may of been as a visionary, in terms of Time. Or "geometrically inclined" to higher dimensional figures.

It definitely had it's connotations to "points of view." I mentioned religion, but for the nature of Salvador Dali, and his lifestyle, one would have to wonder where he was going with the Tesserack and his painting of Jesus on the Cross?

While I do not subscribe to any religion per say, I do subscribe to the finger of Plato pointing up. Have you for one moment you thought to roll your eyes up in your head, and think of what is up their in your mind? Assign our highest values to goodness. Surely you would enlist the "Colour of gravity" in all situations as you choose to live your life? It's there for the choosing.

Surely, that if you wore a hat on your head, or thought, to think of the roof of your house, you may indeed think of the highest ideals with which you choose to live your life. It's not my job to tell you what that is, that is yours alone.

You will be involved with aspects of the "universal language" that knows no boundaries, no matter your race, gender, or nationality. Yet, it will be specific to you. It will have "probabilistic outcomes" according to the life you are living regardless.

The Secret of the Golden Flower

When ever you walk the pathways in your mind of what ever model, you are laying the road work for that which you will travel through. Why, I may have referred to the title of the "Golden Flower in the Bee story," is a result, that the probabilistic outcome of life calls upon this "chance meeting" to come to what is held in mind. So what's new having the honey of the Bee community?

Do the Bee dance, and you learnt from others what this model is doing. So you travel. You get the benefits of the honey sometimes in new thoughts? There had to be a point "like the blank slate, glass room, a pen and paper ready" in order for the mind to be receptive to what already exists out there in the "form of ideas." How will these manifest? So indeed, it came from deep inside/outside you?

I never thought this inductive/deductive method while thinking it topological smooth in it's orientation, was not the exchange going on with our environment. That if you live your life according to your principles, then the principles would become part of your life. That on a level not understood to clearly, the "colour of gravity" was what we could evolve too? What is our own dynamical makeup, to become part of the ideals we had set for ourselves. We set our own ship in life. The boat or vehicle, becomes part of the way we will travel in our dream time. The airplane we ride.

If we thought of the "Colour of Gravity" posted here, what values could you assign any materials that arise from the centre out? Gravity would have it's way with these materials for us to assign them to their unique ordering?

The Power of Myth With Bill Moyers, by Joseph Campbell , Introduction that Bill Moyers writes,

"Campbell was no pessimist. He believed there is a "point of wisdom beyond the conflicts of illusion and truth by which lives can be put back together again." Finding it is the "prime question of the time." In his final years he was striving for a new synthesis of science and spirit. "The shift from a geocentric to a heliocentric world view," he wrote after the astronauts touched the moon, "seemed to have removed man from the center-and the center seemed so important...


That we may say, the minerals on the moon have been assigned their valuation too? I would say it's the colour of gravity that we had assigned all of humanities thoughts and where is man/woman's centre?

Planets are round because their gravitational field acts as though it originates from the center of the body and pulls everything toward it. With its large body and internal heating from radioactive elements, a planet behaves like a fluid, and over long periods of time succumbs to the gravitational pull from its center of gravity. The only way to get all the mass as close to planet's center of gravity as possible is to form a sphere. The technical name for this process is "isostatic adjustment."

With much smaller bodies, such as the 20-kilometer asteroids we have seen in recent spacecraft images, the gravitational pull is too weak to overcome the asteroid's mechanical strength. As a result, these bodies do not form spheres. Rather they maintain irregular, fragmentary shapes.


By using Grace here, and the way we look at earth now, we get a better sense of what the actual shape of the earth is. WE had all thought it looked so round from space, that under a "time variable measure" we knew better. We knew that the variations in topographical locations would reveal something unique in relation to gravity. It took Grace to do that



Our work is about comparing the data we collect in the STAR detector with modern calculations, so that we can write down equations on paper that exactly describe how the quark-gluon plasma behaves," says Jerome Lauret from Brookhaven National Laboratory. "One of the most important assumptions we've made is that, for very intense collisions, the quark-gluon plasma behaves according to hydrodynamic calculations in which the matter is like a liquid that flows with no viscosity whatsoever."

It is not so far fetched for the mind to think of the planet in question, as to it's roundness, or, the moon in relation to how we see those impact craters on it's surface. "The moon" quite revealing in the mineralogical decor for us. So there are two things to consider here.

From the "boundary" of the planet "inward" and from the "centre" of the planet "outward."

The Multiverse is like a....Flower?

The implications of inflation are particularly important in the context of the landscape of string theory. One of the leading researchers studying how inflationary cosmology evolves through the landscape is Alex Vilenkin, a theoretical physicist at Tufts who has been working in the field of cosmology for 25 years and is a pioneer in introducing the ideas of eternal inflation and quantum creation of the universe from nothing. Here he sets forth his ideas of how the set of theories which began with Guth's inflationary scenario are playing out.


This post on the Multiverse of mine, may be an "psychological interpretation" here that I would like to bring forward. This may be distasteful for people of science. Please bear with me as I try to explain myself, and not sanction me to a site that has issues with "ten dimensions and and quantum tunnelling?":)

The Flower as a Universe in Expression

So I will open the above with an example of one of the flowers done up with regards to Mandalic interpretations. This has been part of my research to understand the "individuality of each persons expression" from the inside out. As if, one understood the "liminocentric structure" develop from the schematic of the "circle with a point" in it, "to a point" with a boundary condition that is contained, as an equation of E=mc2.

AS well the student here is learning to give credence to a "way of enlightenment" that foreshadows what can exist as "this schematic mathematical diagram," could find itself looking quite nicely in such a expression as that of a flower.

"Out of Nothing" Came Art and Science?

But even empty space has faint traces of energy that fluctuate on the subatomic scale. As suggested previously by Jaume Garriga of Universitat Autonoma de Barcelona and Alexander Vilenkin of Tufts University, these fluctuations can generate their own big bangs in tiny areas of the universe, widely separated in time and space. Carroll and Chen extend this idea in dramatic fashion, suggesting that inflation could start “in reverse” in the distant past of our universe, so that time could appear to run backwards (from our perspective) to observers far in our past.


I think one can be detracted by good pictures as to the originality of how we might see the universe in expression. So "without further explanation" we might say yes indeed they are good pictures of flowers without understanding the inheritance of the explanation forth coming.

So the idea here is not to be judgemental of the "book by it's cover" until one has considered the explanation that is forthcoming. As one weights what the expression of any universe can mean, while within it, there are evidences for the possibilities of what exists as our own universe, was granted a design, as one might grant each galaxy in expression?

Take an event within the colliders and tell how each will react according to the energies used?

Bubble Nucleation

During a first-order phase transition, the matter fields get trapped in a `false vacuum' state from which they can only escape by nucleating bubbles of the new phase, that is, the `true vacuum' state. See here for correlating Post.

Now is it enough that I identify the "source of such expressions" to advance the "geometrical inherent of form" as a universe in expression? So where did this design come from. How could anything issue from such "chaos implied in all the possibilities" that we might have the universe we did in this one?

Physically, the effect can be interpreted as an object moving from the "false vacuum" (where = 0) to the more stable "true vacuum" (where = v). Gravitationally, it is similar to the more familiar case of moving from the hilltop to the valley. In the case of Higgs field, the transformation is accompanied with a "phase change", which endows mass to some of the particles.




So by looking at the picture below you get this sense of why the "sombrero as a hat" serves us well to explain the nature of gravitational considerations while this "collapse of the sphere" can produce all kinds of models of geometrical expressions, as a Calabi Yau?



The "landscape" has been something of a issue, as I have travelled through the last couple of years, watching scientists go back and forth in debate. They have their reasons why of course.

I will not assign "a label" although I use them here in this blog "to categorize the times that I have ventured onto a particular subject." I will not succumb to "any categories" that insinuate that "one group of scientists belong to let's say the "Templeton Foundation" and thusly criticize them, as being insignificant and deluded. "Founding a movement" to change society other then, what society wants itself to become.

So by characterization I have learnt to not hold any woman or man to the "fate of character alone," or the "choices they make." But to see the basis of science is continually being adhered to on a level of "correlation of cognition." Given, the experiment and facts, what does one conclude to do while they venture forward? What do they pull toward them, as they theorize about the science?

How is their philosophy imbued them to speak, while there is this underlying mathematical basis to the world? Is it all "flowery or drawn to the arts" that it detracts from the science? Are there not ways that art helps science visualize what has come from their thought processes?

So Tegmark saids,"the universe is not a bagel?" And we have all these ideas about the "shape of the universe." Cosmology likes em large, while the Calabi Yau-ist like it small? Okay, not small, but descriptively unique?
